Stocking Stuffer Treats

Stocking Stuffer Treats

Wow, it's been awhile since my last post but the holiday craft fair season has ended for me this year.  I am pleased with how it turned out and have gotten ideas for next year. Hope to do one in the spring here in the town where I live so I have got to get to work on Easter Stuff (can't believe I said that already).

Stocking stuffers, secret santa, and co-workers gifts were my best sellers again this year.  Along with the 2 rose flower wreaths I managed to get together to sell.  (Guess what we will be working on for next year).

Here are a few of my favorite stocking stuffers for this year. Still time to get yours, just contact me at creativecutterscorner@yahoo.com if you would like to order anything.  Of course, my favorites all used Jaded Blossom stamps.  I used them on the Grinch treats, Snowman Kisses, Rudolph spares, and not pictured here is the Reindeer Food.

Hopefully, I will get around to posting a few more times before Christmas. But just in case...hope you and yours have a Merry Christmas.  Be sure and take time to tell those around you that you love them.

Purple Rose Wreath

Purple Rose Wreath

I have made one of these before, but the colors on this most recent one made this one my favorite (so far).  This one was a special order for a lady at church who loves purple just like I do.  I see another one of these in my future for my dear sister - maybe I can get it done before her birthday (next May)...That's my goal...you may think that is far away but with everything else that goes on it takes awhile.  I did sell a pastel colored one at a recent craft fair.  It sure was a "people draw", had to make a sign though that says, "Please don't touch" so that the roses would stay nice for the person who bought it.  It is time consuming, but I'm sure it will be something I will do all summer for next craft season. Hope my daughter is ready to rock and "roll".   I used the Art Philosophy cartridge, and glittered special paper pad from
K & Company.

Hope you have a blessed weekend.  Happy Crafting!

Turkey Time Treats

Turkey Time Thanksgiving Treats

Wow, it's been a busy few months getting ready for craft fair season. I've had two fairs already and four more in the coming months.  Have to make time for Thanksgiving dinner at my house for about 13 people...hope they are up to the challenge of going around the maze of craft stuff because Lord knows if I put it up, I'll never find it all again :)

One of the treats I have been selling at craft fairs is the M&M sticks.  The turkey ones were made with the special edition candy corn M&M's and the others with the Harvest Blend M&M's.  They were a big hit with the customers. Alot of people are placing them on their plates as a gift for family and friends.  All of the stamps came from Jaded Blossom, I just love their stamps!  The circles were cut with the Art Philosophy Cartridge, and the turkey shape backing from the Cricut Elegant Edges Cartridge.
If you are interested in ordering some for your holiday please contact me in the next 2 days and we can work out a rush order.

If I don't post again before next week, I wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving.  Take time to enjoy family and friends this whole holiday season as we never know if we have the promise of tomorrow.  Be Blessed!

Craft Fair Organization

CRAFT FAIR ORGANIZATION

Just finished my first craft show for the holiday season of 2012 in Dickson, TN and it was fairly good for me.  I think the turnout for people this year was larger than last year which was surprising for me.  Every year I take M&M treats for the holidays and carrying them around in my plastic container was messy and ended up sorting and re-sorting all the time.  This year, I came up with an idea and my wonderful husband helped me do it...and it worked out wonderful.  I had already bought plastic containers from the Dollar General Store so I went to our local hobby store, and bought a piece of foam poster board.  My husband then measured the container insides and cut the pieces.  We attached the pieces to the container with hot glue.  (Don't you know hot glue and duct tape fix anything! :)  Well, it really does~!  It made sorting out and in at the craft fair so nice, and kept the tags nice and neat.  Plus, you gain the added height in the space so you can carry more and make the most of your space.  Hope this idea helps some of you transport your items neatly so all your hard work stays pretty and clean for your customers.

This weekend I will be at the United Methodist Church on  Saturday in Clarksville TN  Drop by and see us!

Wedding Wishes

Wedding Wishes

It's been awhile since I have posted.  Been busy working on craft fair stuff for the 5 upcoming fairs I will be a vendor at.  One of the requests I have been getting is for sets of cards to use for occasions, thank you cards, etc..  So last week I was on a real roll and made 20 cards in a few hours.  The stamp is from Jaded Blossom-Wedding Wishes Stamp Set, card was from DCWV. Then of course, had to add a little sparkle with Stickles which you can buy at my store at www.creativecutterscorner.com

Hope you enjoy them!

Birthday Card

A Simple Birthday Card

Got on a roll last night and cleaned off my scrapbook table in order to mess it up again :)  After a while of working, it gets to where I get frustrated just trying to find things on it.  Almost forgot about doing a birthday card for my daughter's co-worker.  So I stopped and did a quick put together.  The supplies I used are really simple...just a scalloped oval Spellbinder die, a blank card base, a scrap of paper for the oval, a generic flower and velvet brad, some stickles (you can buy that in my store-see quick link on right of blog) and of course a Jaded Blossom stamp (Simple Sayings), and the tag die is from Jaded Blossom also.

Simple and Sweet

Tomorrow I will be going to the 4-H Tractor and craft fair here in Clarksville TN. If you are out Rossview High School area, drop in and pick up a few goodies for those Halloween Little Ones.  Just go past Rossview about a mile and a half you will see the 4-H Pavilion on the left.
Hope to see you there.

Halloween Suckers

Halloween Suckers

Halloween is just around the corner and I didn't have but the one craft fair two weeks ago where I could take "Halloween Creations".  Luckily, I received a call this past Monday and am now being a vendor at a local Tractor show, here in Clarksville TN...so, if you are out and about in Clarksville on Saturday, Sept 29th from 9-4, come on by the 4-H Pavilion past Rossview and load up on Halloween goodies.  I have had to do them really quick, so they are basic but cute.  The paper is from DCWV and the stamp is from Jaded Blossom, die cut from My Creative Time for Me. I just cut the scallops out with my scallop punch and then stamped, colored the Jaded Blossom stamp, added a little "sparkle" with stickles (you can buy them at my store-see store link on the side of this page-category Embellishments)

Thanks for looking...have a blessed day...

Rose Wreath

ROSE WREATH #1

So excited, it's finally done!  Everyday for the past few weeks, I have been doing something or the other to this newest project.  Tweek here, tweek there. Finally added the last little tweek last night for the special lady that bought this wreath Sunday.  I used the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge for the roses, tons and tons of cutting, rolling (thanks to my husband and daughter), spraying, spraying, gluing, gluing...I told my daughter it is kind of like putting a puzzle together. Have to place each rose so that the ribbon and wreath underneath it didn't show.  I will be taking orders for this if you want one, let me know via email to creativecutterscorner@yahoo.com or comment on this blog and I'll get back to you with info as soon as I can.

So here goes the project.....

This is the final project close up

Close up of butterfly #1

Close up of buttefly #2

Roses after rolling but before gluing

Roses after gluing

Spray glitter #1, then Spray clear Coating #2

I learned alot from doing this wreath, what to do first, what to do easier...it was fun and challenging at the same time.  Thanks to a FB friend, Kate for the inspiration.  I don't like the colors on mine as well as hers, but used what I could find.  Desparately wanted to use fall colors, but double sided fall cardstock is not easy to find. Guess I should have ordered that paper I saw from Stampin Up...(oh wait, think I will :)

Have a blessed day and I hope you enjoy looking at this project.  Please take a moment to comment and join as a follower if you haven't already.

Halloween Wreath

HALLOWEEN WREATH

It's been such a wonderful weekend.  We were able to have breakfast with the family on Saturday, drove around and enjoyed the fall air some Saturday morning and evening. And...I was able to craft ALOT!  Yay, me.... We were able to finish 2 wreaths, (I say "we" because I couldn't have completed the other wreath without the help of my daughter & husband.)  and I'm going to show you one of them NOW, and the other one later this week after  I add a few other things on it for the special lady that already purchased it.  My inspiration for this wreath came from a FB friend, Andrea Stradley, who did one early in the spring with white and pink tulle.
Hope you enjoy this project.  Message me if you are interested in buying this one for your Halloween Party.

Enjoy the Fall weather this week.  Here in TN it's suppose to be about 75 all week.  The trees are turning and looking beautiful.  As my little great niece use to say...."God sure does paint good".  Enjoy your week friends.

Halloween Pencils

Halloween Pencil Treats

This past Saturday was my first fall craft festival, was alittle slow in attendance but I did ok...enough to spend on some more crafting supplies for the next one so I guess you could say I "broke even."   Guess I would have made something if I would have stayed away from Hobby Lobby after the sale...hummm, what a concept...lol

I tried to concentrate on some treat items that were not candy related this year, so I did some pencil treats.  I used the Cricut Art Phil. cartridge for the ovals and various Quickutz dies for the center embellishments.  You can find them in my store here...Quickutz Sale Items

Teachers Are Special People

Today's project is a little thank you gift for that special teacher (s) in your life or your child's life.  Going to be selling these this week at the craft fair "Frolic on Franklin" in Clarksville TN.  If you are around, stop by my table and say "hi" and pick up a few gifts or treats for teachers or even Halloween treats for those special little ones.  Also taking orders for cards for the upcoming holiday season.

For this project, I used clip art for the apple. Added a scallop circle from the Cricut cartridge "Elegant Edges",  and the tag die from Cricut Art Phil. Cartridge and Peachy Keen stamp for the little face (isn't it just adorable!) and of course my favorite party favor stamps from Jaded Blossom.  I used two packages of stamps for this project.  "Friendly Kisses" for the lifesaver tops, and "Teacher Appreciation" for the flags.

Can you please take a minute and become a "follower" just see the link here and also join me at my business facebook page (see Quicklink section)
Thanks! Hope you have a blessed weekend..Here's hoping my craft fair is a sell out!

First Try Is A Charm

Well, here goes...finally got this blog started with the help of Candace from Paper Crafts By Candace. She does an awesome job designing blogs if you are in need of one.  Thought I would try my first post by submitting my entry for the Jaded Blossom Crafters Challenge

I just love the Ghost Poop stamp that was part of the most recent release "Halloween Poop".  The ghost was cut from a Cricut cartridge  (Everyday Paper Dolls) and the saying was just clip art off the computer cut by hand.

I simply love all the Jaded Blossom stamps, wish I didn't because then I wouldn't be broke :) Thanks ladies for helping in that department...lol
